Baby Shower Thank You Cards
This was my first project with the Silhouette Cameo and it by far exceeded my expectations. I used our nursery theme for inspiration and repurposed some materials we had left over.
The Silhouette did beautifully with the metallic ink pens. The “Thank You” and kite tail were one pass with the cutting machine.
The aqua background is leftover paint from the nursery walls. It was silkscreened on watercolor paper. I learned quickly that it is fast drying on the screen. A spray bottle and good flood strokes salvaged it for me.Without removing the cutting mat, I replaced the ink pen with the cutting blade and die cut the card. Two cards fit on each piece of watercolor paper. Again, it was better than I expected. I was able to fine tune the baby carriage details in the Silhouette software. The paper was so thick, I initially had issues with the blade not completely cutting, but a double pass cut fixed that nicely.
The final detail was the orange kite. I cut and applied the same vinyl used on the walls.
I used Adobe Illustrator to work on the layout. I was then able to export my files as a .dxf and import them into the Silhouette software.

Your mode of telling the whole thing in this post is really nice, every one can easily know it, Thanks a lot.
